Six-time Golden Guitar winner and the 2012 and 2014 Australian Independent Country Music Artist of the Year – Singer Songwriter – Luke O’Shea – spent decades touring the world absorbing insights and stories universal to us all.
Known for his storytelling and powerful live shows Luke O’Shea, with or without his exceptional band ‘Medicine Wheel’, has a unique, yet classic Australian sound.
Drawing inspiration from the unique and everyday characters he meets or the heartbreaking and significant events of the past, Luke O’Shea designs and delivers his songs to cut straight through the listener’s defences – and whilst there – respectfully enlightens and entertains.
Launching his sixth album ‘Caught Up In The Dreaming’ – the album has been directly inspired by Luke’s deep connection to – and his constant touring of – Australia – most recently a four-month tour with his family throughout the mighty Kimberly and the spacious North West of Australia. The first single ‘Catch You’ – a powerful duet with Amber Lawrence – hit #4 on the National Charts was a finalist for Vocal Collaboration at the 2016 Golden Guitar Awards.
Luke’s celebrated previous album ‘Sing You Up’ won him the 2015 Golden Guitar for Male Artist of the Year with the powerful single ‘Three Brothers (The Great War)’ taking out Luke’s second consecutive APRA Song of the Year and his third consecutive CMAA Heritage Song of the Year (the only other Australian Artist to do this was Slim Dusty in the 80’s).
