Sunshine Coast Anzac Day 2020 - CALOUNDRA RSL
The Caloundra RSL wishes to advise that the 2020 ANZAC Day commemorations will not be taking place due to the current Coronavirus (COVID 19) public health emergency.
RSL Queensland President Tony Ferris said the advice followed on from the Federal Government’s announcement on Friday that public gatherings of more than 500 people should be suspended. “Our older veterans are particularly at risk from this virus, so we believe this is the responsible thing to do to ensure their health and wellbeing,” Mr Ferris said.
This means both the traditional King’s Beach Dawn Service and also the Veterans March will NOT be taking place this ANZAC day.
Australians will always remember the sacrifice, dedication and bravery of all those who have served, past and present.
Thank you for your understanding during this unprecedented time.
Lest We Forget.
