It’s been 51 years since I started playing at pubs, clubs, and parties, and I feel fortunate to be able to pursue something I love and earn a living from it. My musical journey has taken me to various places, from Club Med Malaysia to The Able Tasman, and I’ve played at some incredible parties along the way, meeting lots of interesting people.

Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of sharing the stage with some fantastic musicians, which has taught me to appreciate different instruments, talents, and music styles. Although I have a particular passion for classic rock and ballads that tell a story, I always try to stay open-minded and cater to my audience’s musical preferences.

One valuable lesson I learned early on in my career was from Ted Mulry, an Australian rock legend, who warned against letting one’s ego become bigger than their talent. This piece of advice has stayed with me, and I believe it’s one of the reasons I’ve been able to sustain a successful career in the music industry for so long. I always strive to choose songs that suit my voice and play to my strengths.

At every gig, my goal is to target the right songs for my audience, and I have a broad repertoire that can accommodate various situations. While my influences include artists such as The Eagles, Phil Collins, Eric Clapton, The Beatles, and Garth Brooks, I’m always mindful that my audience may have other musical preferences, including rock and roll and country.

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported me throughout my musical journey, and I appreciate all the help I’ve received along the way. It’s been a fulfilling life of music, and I couldn’t have done it without the support of so many people.
