Darren & Jermia
You’ve seen them as part of “The Fabulous Sounds of the Sixties Show”….
Now, come and see DARREN & JERMIA out front of their own six-piece band.
DARREN J RAY is a talented singer/guitarist who also writes and arranges his own compositions.
Darren regularly fronts his own band which form the nucleus of “The Fabulous Sounds of the Sixties Show”, which has won Best Production Show at three Entertainer of the Year Awards for Clubs in South Queensland.
His debut single, an original recording entitled Please Cindy-Louise, has received radio airplay, both locally and nationally.
JERMIA TURNER is a very popular member of The Love Bugs, the all-girl group from “The Fabulous Sounds of the Sixties Show”.
Jermia sings, plays percussion and ukulele.
The band features the talents of renowned Brisbane guitarist, DALLAS SOUTHAM. Dallas is the world record holder of the most performances on the stage at Caloundra RSL as a person named Dallas Southam.
Local boy GEORGE FLASKAS is bass player/vocalist. His previous shows include “Sonny & Cher & George” and “Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick, Tich & George”.
The engine room of the band is drummer/vocalist RHONDA J BONADUCE, ex-wife of Danny Bonaduce from The Partridge Family. Apparently, they were only married for six hours – it was one of those Hollywood marriages – but she says the sex was so good that she kept his surname.
RUSTY KEYS is keyboardist/vocalist, an ex-lawyer from the firm of Simon, Garfunkel & Keys.
Anyone who enjoys live music and appreciates an energetic and humorous show with vocalists who can really sing should catch Darren & Jermia with a full band, performing a balance of material from the ‘50s to present day.
