Cassi Marie

Young Moreton Bay artist Cassi Marie, announced to her family at age 8 that she would be a singer-songwriter when she grew up. Inspired by songsmiths like Missy Higgins and Kasey Chambers, Cassi started scribing songs at age 9, whilst sitting in the car at her brothers football games.  She went on to write songs for an international clothing brand at the age of 10, and was launched as the face of the companies 2012/13 summer campaign, appearing in television commercials and music videos. Cassi also appeared in many short films including ‘No Bones Jones’ playing the granddaughter of Moe Jones (played by Allan Caswell) and an Australian feature film, with a supporting role.

Cassi’s strong work ethic and bubbly personality has seen her tick things off her bucket list that artists can only dream of, and she still has many years ahead of her.  After winning the Gympie Muster Talent Search at just 12 years of age, Cassi knew she was destined for the big stage, and has worked tirelessly over the past 12 years to establish herself as an artist in her own right.  Cassi has penned hundreds of songs over the years, and in 2019 released her 5th EP ‘Pieces Of My Heart’ recorded by the legendary Bill Chambers, which debuted at #2 on the Australian Country itunes Chart.  More recently, releasing singles such as ‘Walls’, ‘Burn’ and ‘Starving Heart’ Cassi is ever evolving in both her songwriting and musicianship, playing several instruments on her recordings.  Since 2020, Cassi has also been working with fellow musicians in bands such as The English Rain and The Kindly Ravens, lending her voice and songwriting to create beautiful tracks such as ‘Silver & Gold’ and ‘Everywhere I Go.’

Cassi has worked alongside the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay Councils since the age of 9, appearing at many council events over the years such as New Years Eve and Australia Day Celebrations, Food & Wine Festival, Kitefest, Festival of the Sails and private council functions.  She also performs weekly at gigs across the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and Gold Coast.

Cassi has been performing at the Tamworth Country Music Festival since the age of 12, appearing at the SHINE Showcase hosted by Carter & Carter, performing on the Fanzone Stage, HSF Artist Services Showcase, Country Music Cocktails and Tamworth Songwriting Association Showcases to name a few.  Cassi has also performed at the Gympie Muster and the Caloundra Music Festival.

Cassi has attended the Junior CMAA Academy of Country Music three times (two of these due to receiving Scholarships including the Troy Cassar-Daly Scholarship due to winning the EKKA Country Music Showdown).

Cassi keeps going from strength to strength, not only has she had back to back success throughout her music and media career, Cassi has recently branched out into the world of creative business. At the age of 17, Cassi successfully designed her own entrepreneurial empire. With labels such as Lost Minds Clothing and Marshmallow Moon, these brands have been created and developed uniquely to showcase Cassi’s style and personality.  Cassi also designs and creates merchandise for other artists including Katie Noonan, Chelsea Berman and The Vixens of Fall, and festivals such as the National Folk Festival and Sunshine Sounds Festival.

There are no limits to Cassi’s creativity, drive and determination, she is an ever-evolving artist that proves each and every day that talent, hard work and commitment are the building blocks to a successful career.
