The Queensland Maroons are the defending champions after claiming last year’s series 2-1 with a 22-12 win in Brisbane during Billy Slater’s first time out as coach. They currently lead the series 1-0 after a 26-18 win in the series opener.

Blues legend Brad Fittler has retained the coaching role for NSW as they look to exact revenge on their northern rivals.

The series kicked off with a neutral venue in Adelaide, before Queensland host game two, so Fittler’s mission will be tough as his side doesn’t get to play at home until game three.
