Studio 54
May 11 @ 9:00 pm - 11:59 pm
Studio 54
“Studio 54” was a New York nightclub based on West 54th St Manhattan. Operating from 1976, to 1986.
It became known as the playground of the rich and famous. Packed out every night, it wasn’t uncommon to see Mick Jagger partying with Andy Warhol while Roller skating Waiters served 24k gold laced champagne to Liza Minelli and Warren Beatty, It became synonymous with the excess, decadence and debauchery of the 70’s and 80’s.
And what does this have to do with the band from Queensland….. WELL NOTHING REALLY……….
This Studio 54 is a trio of musicians from the Sunshine Coast Garry Hudson, Guitar Vocals, Adam Truscott Bass Vocals, Jerome Bechard Percussion vocals, who specialize in playing the biggest dance floor hits from the 70’s to 90’s., along with sequenced backing and a Queensland first, fully sequenced lightshow utilizing, Moving heads, Gobo lights, moon flowers, mirror ball and (where possible), a hazer.
Funky costumes, and general mayhem with members of the audience. (Don’t tell us if it’s your birthday, it will get embarrassing). All members are completely wireless allowing them to spend considerable time having fun with the audience.
Playing hits like. I love the nightlife, boogie wonderland, hurts so good, you to me are everything. blame it on the boogie, celebrate, relax, wake me up before you go go, YMCA, can’t get enough of your love, superstition, April sun in Cuba, sweet Home Alabama, Studio 54 will keep the dance floor full right till the end of the night.
With a killer light show, costumes, state of the art sound system and more than 100 years combined experience between the members. Studio 54 is a party from the very first note.
Live and free from 9 pm – 12pm.
